Plans have been completed for the celebration of the eightieth anniversary of Congregation Berith Kodesh, preparation for which has been in the hands of committees for several months. Rabbi William H. Fineshriber of Keneseth Israel Congregation, Philadelphia, will deliver the principal address. Dr. S. J. Appelbaum, a past president of recent years, Sol Wile, oldest of the living past-presidents, Mrs. Mary T. L. Gannett, Rabbi Philip S. Bernstein, the present occupant of the pulpit, and Henry M. Stern, president of the congregation, will also speak.
Mortimer Adler is general chairman of the Committee on Arrangements.
A scene of the first synagogue, with its crude benches, will be a feature of the celebration.
