The Joint Distribution Committee’s historic “Operation Magic Carpet” is scheduled to come to an end tonight with the landing of the last two plane-loads of some 15,000 Yemenite Jews flown from Aden to the Jewish state.

In the last planes will also be the J.D.C. officials who administered the Geula Camp in Aden. After the last planes land at Lydda airport a solemn ceremony will be held to mark the end of the operation which began two years ago, in October, 1948.
