Funeral services were held here for Jacob H. Gilbert, a prominent Jewish attorney and a son-in-law of the late Supreme Court Justice Louis Dr. Brandeis, who died at his home here at the age of 83. After Justice Brandeis’ death in 1941, Mr. Gilbert devoted much of his time to the founding of Brandeis University at Waltham, Mass. Justice Brandeis’ daughter, Mrs. Susan Brandeis Gilbert, survives her husband.
