Dismissal followed his refusal to sue for libel Prof. Zadereski, a Christian, and Hillel Seidman, who had published pamphlets proving that Father Trzecziak had misquoted and distorted passages from the Talmud for anti-Semitic purposes. The Episcopate at the same time prohibited the priest from making any public appearances.
