Terrorists today shot and killed a 30-year-old Jew, Joseph Fishman, at the German colony of Sarona, near Tel Aviv. Three Arab suspects were arrested. An unidentified assailant shot and severely wounded Sheik Abdul Rahman el Khatib, a member of the Arab party hostile to Haj Amin el Husseini, exiled ex-Mufti of Jerusalem. El Khatib is a teacher of religion in a Government secondary school for Arabs.
A British soldier and several Arabs were wounded in a skirmish between a military patrol and a rebel band near Nablus. A large quantity of gunpowder and arms was seized by troops near Ramallah. Two heavily armed terrorists were captured in a cave near Hebron.
