For the first time in ten years, a Jew will be seated in the Quebec Legislative Assembly following the Liberal Party’s upset of the Union Nationalists last week.

Tabulation of the results today showed that Henry Blank, contesting the Montreal-St. Louis seat, won by an 80-vote margin out of 25,000 cast. The last Jew to serve in the legislature, a decade ago, was the late Maurice Hart.
