A memorial meeting for the late Lord Josiah Wedgwood, pro-Zionist peer, was held today on the premises of the Jewish Agency. Prof. Selig Brodetsky and a number of other British Zionist leaders spoke.

Lady Wedgwood, who attended the meeting, heard the reading of a message from Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the Jewish Agency, who is resting in the country under doctor’s orders. “England, Palestine, his own people and the Jewish people, indeed the world at large, is now darker and poorer with Lord Wedgwood’s passing,” Dr. Weizmann said in his message. He quoted from a letter which Lord Wedgwood sent him in which he complained that he felt “lonely” in the struggle for Zionism.

A cable from Tel Aviv received here today discloses that the municipal council there has appointed a committee to work out plans for the establishment in Palestine of some sort of permanent memorial to Lord Wedgwood.
