The Jewish Agency has prepared plans for the movement and reception of immigrants in Israel for only the next three months, Dr. Itzhak Raphael revealed here today at a press conference.
The three-month project is expected to bring some 45,000 immigrants to this country–15,000 are expected from Iraq, 12,000 from Rumania and the remainder from a number of countries. Dr. Raphael pointed out, however, that as a result of the international situation many other Jewish communities are appealing for immediate rescue.
