Jewish Art Dealer Pays Highest Price for Painting

The highest price paid in Great Britain for a painting was paid yesterday by Sir Joseph Duveen, well known Anglo-Jewish art dealer.

Sir Joseph bought Romney’s portrait of Mrs. Davenport, for which he paid the sum of £60,900.
