Considerable loss to the Jewish artisans who had invested their savings in the Jewish Artisans’ Bank will follow as a result of the decision of the directors to liquidate the bank.

The notice of liquidation caused an uproar and some of the depositors attempted to attack officials of the bank whom they regarded as responsible for the catastrophe.
