A big decrease has been recorded in the birth rate in Zagreb, the largest Jewish community in Jugo-Slavia. In 1927 the rate of mortality was sixty percent in excess of the birth rate. During 1927, twenty-one Jews left Judaism and fourteen persons adopted Judaism.
