More than 2, 000 groups across the nation are observing Jewish Book Month, which will run through December 16, the National Jewish Welfare Board, sponsors of the event, announced here today. Among the organizations participating in the observances are Jewish community centers, synagogues, Jewish schools, libraries and clubs.
Jewish Book Month is also being observed in Mexico, Argentina and other Latin American countries. South Africa and Great Britain. Events to be conducted during the month include Jewish book fairs, Bible study groups, discussions and lectures on the Bible, exhibits on Bible themes, dramatizations, contests and music programs.
