The Jewish cemetery here was heavily damaged yesterday during a night-time attack, police said. An investigation is under way to learn the identity of the persons who tore up tombstones and littered the cemetery with debris. This is the second time in recent months that anti-Semitic feeling has been manifest in Berne. The first incident was the painting of anti-Jewish slogans on the walls of Jewish-owned homes.
