The Representative Council of French Jews — CRIF — issued a statement here today declaring “there is still a hypothesis” that Charles H. Jordan “has been murdered in Prague because of his relations with Israel.” In its statement, CRIF requested the Czech Government “to do all necessary research to find out the truth in this affair, and to make full application of justice.” (In Rome, the Union of Jewish Communities in Italy and individual communities expressed their grief over Mr. Jordan’s death in messages to the JDC.)
