A criminal court here heard today the complaint of the United Jewish Communities of Italy against Vanni Teodora, nephew of the late Mussolini and publisher of a fascist sheet, who last spring printed an article boasting that “we used to burn Jews in ovens.”
The US charged that the article violated a section of the penal code prohibiting apologies for crime–a violation which may be punished by three to 12 years imprisonment. A verdict is due December 11.
