Jewish communities throughout South Africa flocked to numerous gatherings yesterday and today to celebrate the 16th anniversary of Israelis independence. The Mayor and leading members of the Consular corps in this city were among the many guests attending a reception given by Israel Consul-General Dov Sinai. A similar reception was given in Cape Town by Israel Charge d’Affaire Azriel Harel. Special services were held in all synagogues.
