The Jewish communities of Transylvania and Banat have decided to send a special deputation to King Ferdinand of Roumania to plead with him to put an end to the unbearable situation prevailing in these two provinces, according to a report in the Roumanian paper, “Dimineata.”

The Jews in these regions have been placed in a situation which is outside of the law, and in which they are not extended the protection of the authorities.

Last Saturday, a Jewish student, who was visiting the Botonical Park in Klausenburg, was attacked and had his skull fractured.
