A Jewish deputation from this city appeared today before the Minister of the Interior, making a strong protest against the wave of pogroms, now going on without official interference in the country.
The deputation asked the Minister how it was possible for such atrocities to be committed in the presence of the police, and while the country was in a state of martial law. The deputation asked why the Government did not take sufficient preventive measures. No explanatory answer was given to this question.
