Jewish leaders welcome Kazakhstan’s appointment of an ambassador to Israel. Last week’s appointment of Kairat Abd Rakhanov came after a recent visit to Kazakhstan by the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, where the group urged the government to appoint an envoy to Israel.
