A Jewish mass meeting held here today protested sharply against the recent Communist campaign against Jews in Eastern Europe and the vilification of the Joint Distribution Committee.

Meanwhile, the board of directors of the Vienna Jewish Community accepted the invitation of the Jewish Agency to participate in a meeting of worldwide Jewish organizations to consider the Soviet campaign against Zionism. The board turned down a request from the pro-Communist “Jewish Unity” group that it appeal to President Eisenhower in behalf of Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, on the grounds that the pro-Communist group refused to join in an appeal against the execution of Czechoslovak Jewish Communist and government officials last year.
