Jewish organizations are combining to form a coalition promoting volunteerism. Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish Campus Life and the American Jewish World Service are among more than 18 groups planning the volunteer effort in North America and around the world. Members of the Jewish Coalition for Service are sharing a Web site — www.jewishservice.org — and discussing the possibility of teaming up on recruitment, marketing, alumni communications and educational activities for their work with volunteers.
