Jewish Orthodox Students Exempted from Service in the Polish Army

Emulating the practice of the British military authorities, the Polish Government today announced that it will exempt Yeshiva students from military service in the Polish forces both in Britain and in Soviet Russia.

The Polish Government today received a cable from the representative body of Polish Jews in Palestine urging the reappointment of Dr. Ignacy Schwartzbart as a member of the Polish National Council.

Czech political circles today indicated that one Jewish member will be appointed in the new Czech National Council which will be formed here soon. The Jewish appointee will in all likelihood be a Zionist.
