‘jewish Teachers Day’ Observed Throughout Country, Educators Cited

Jewish communities throughout the country today participated in the nationwide observance of Teachers Day initiated by the American Association for Jewish Education. The observance was held for the fourth consecutive year in recognition of the role of the teacher in Jewish schools.

Teachers of Hebrew and Jewish religious subjects in various cities were singled out for honors and citations for outstanding service in the field. The teachers were also honored on special radio and television broadcasts in Washington and Miami.
