David Gertler, a former Jewish official in the Nazi-occupied Lodz Ghetto testified today in the Bradfish-Fuchs murder trial here that former Gestapo commissar Guenther Fuchs freed Jewish inmates in return for money, clothing and food bribes.
Fuchs, 52, is on trial with Otto Bradfisch 70 on charges of complicity in the wartime murders of some 86,000 Jews. Bradfisch was brought to Hannover for trial from prison where he is currently serving a ten-year term for complicity in the murder of 15,000 Jews when he commanded an extermination squad in occupied Russia.
