A 23-year-old German Jew, Hans Israel Blumenthal, has been sentenced to death in Allenstein, East Prussia, for a “martial crime,” according to the German newspaper Koenigsberger Allgemeine Zeitung.
Blumenthal allegedly corrupted “the German Volksenossen (racial comrades)” in trying to obtain money from a Nazi union. The conviction was based on an ordinance, issued last Sept. 5, aimed against war saboteurs.
