Jews in Acre Prison on Hunger Strike to Protest Threatened Deportation; Ask U.N. Aid

Jewish prisoners in the Acre jail today were in the second day of a 48-hour hunger strike to protest the recommendation by High Commissioner Sir Alan G. Cunningham that all suspected terrorists be deported to internment camps outside the country for security reasons. The prisoners asked the commander of the jail to forward their protest to the U.N. inquiry commission.
