Jews throughout Argentina expressed their sorrow and anger today at the hanging of two Jews in Cairo last week. Their sentiments were expressed at public meetings and in their closing down their shops.

In Buenos Aires, the Jewish shops were closed two hours in order to bring home to the Argentine people their feelings of sorrow and solidarity with their fellow Jews abroad. In other cities, including Eva Peron City and Bahia Blanca, public protest meetings were held.
