Jo Davidson, noted American sculptor, presented a bust of the late Lord Balfour, author of the Balfour Declaration, to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, President of Israel, at a ceremony at the President’s home in Rehovoth this week-end.
United States Ambassador Monnet B. Davis and Sir Alexander Knox Helm, retiring British Minister, witnessed the presentation ceremony. The American sculptor is remaining in Israel for several weeks to work on sculptures of Israeli leaders for exhibition later in the United States.
