The British Labor Party, at its annual congress here, today urged the British Government to take all “necessary measures” to end the six-month-old disorders in Palestine.
In a resolution unanimously adopted by the delegates, the Labor Party declared that in view of the strategic importance of Palestine, the interests of peace demanded that the country remain under international control.
Expressing the hope that the Government, in accordance with its mandatory obligations, would develop the country in the interests of both Arabs and Jews, the resolution recognized the immense pro
gress already made in promoting the welfare of the Jewish settlers and paid tribute to the labor unions and socialist institutions in the Holy Land.
It further called upon the government to adopt conciliatory policies as soon as the disorders are over to ensure peace and orderly development of the country.
