Soviet authorities in the city of Kharkov broke into the homes of several refuseniks last Friday evening, the National Conference on Soviet Jewry (NCSJ) has just learned. Among the homes entered by the KGB were those of activists Evgeny Chudnofsky and Aleksandr Paritsky. Paritsky was taken from his apartment and remains under arrest. Having first applied to emigrate to Israel in 1976, Paritsky has often been singled out for harassment by Soviet authorities and has been arrested on several occasions for his emigration-related activities.
