Lehman Orders Brodsky Investigation by Chief Magistrate

Acting on Secretary of State Hull’s request, Governor Lehman today ordered Chief Magistrage Jacob Gould Sherman of New York City to investigate the German government’s complaint that Magistrate Louis B. Brodsky had insulted the Reich in remarks he had made about the Nazi regime in freeing five defandants in connection with the Bremen riot.
