Interesting figures concerning the enrollment of Jewish students at the University of Lemberg were made known today.
According to a compilation by the Lemberg Yiddish daily “Morgen,” 535 non-Jewish students and 170 Jewish students were enrolled in the law school of the university. Eight hundred applicants, mainly Jewish, were rejected. In the medical school the non-Jewish enroliment was 112, while the Jewish students admitted numbered only 12. In the school of philosophy the enrollment was 325 non-Jews and 315 Jews.
