Reports that the Gdynia-America Line was considering discontinuing its Poland-Palestine shipping route in view of Palestine government regulations limiting the number of Palestine immigrants each ship could carry to 250 a trip, were denied in a cablegram from the main offices of the line at Warsaw received by the local offices.
The report had stated that the line was considering withdrawing the liner Polonia from the Palestine service as the new regulations would make the service unprofitable. The regulations have since been revised and the Palestine government is now permitting each vessel to land four hundred immigrants. The Polonia, on its last trip, brought in over 900 prospective Palestine settlers.
