Lithuania’s president honored 55 Lithuanians for protecting Jews during World War II. Valdas Adamkus presented the Lithuanians with Life-Saving Crosses as part of Lithuania’s commemoration of what it calls “Jewish Genocide Day,” The Associated Press reported. “By saving Jews, you saved Lithuania’s honor,” Adamkus said.
