London’s mayor called Ariel Sharon a “war criminal.” Mayor Ken Livingstone has been under fire for several weeks since he compared a Jewish reporter to a Nazi concentration camp guard. Writing March 3 in Britain’s Guardian newspaper, Livingstone said Israel was engaged in “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians and said the Israeli prime minister should be imprisoned.
