Newly returned from a tour of the Eastern Mediterranean, Viscount Samuel, Liberal peer and former Palestine High Commissioner declared in a radio broadcast last night there was “vehement opposition” in Palestine to the new land-sale restrictions, but the problem would probably be settled by “constitutional means as the Jews will be the last to embarrass the British Empire in its struggle.”
