With the return of the well known communal leader, Lyon Cohen, from the South, it is expected that the efforts in behalf of the proposed Talmud Torah Center will receive greater impetus.
Mr. Cohen is the Honorary President of the Talmud Torah Building Fund Council and it is anticipated that he will devote considerable time towards bringing to a conclusion the efforts in behalf of such a religious center.
Though not as vigorous in health as every one in the Jewish Community would wish, Mr. Cohen will not rest until the structure has been erected. The plans and specifications are about completed and work will soon be commenced.
The proposed Talmud Torah Center will be a magnificent building, with all modern equipment and will be able to accommodate hundreds of pupils. It will be the first structure of its kind in Montreal.
