Commenting on the statemont of policy on Palestine late last week by Foreign Secretary Bevin, a Madrid radio commentator calling himself “Lions” said today that Spaniards do not understand anti-Semitism because “they solved their can Jewish problem in 1492.”
The Spanish people, he alleged, are in sympathy with the Arabs and feel that, perhaps, the best selution of the Palestine problem would be to find a national home for the Jews elsewhere.
