Mahmoud Abbas reportedly is set to announce a referendum on coexistence with Israel. The Palestinian Authority president will make the announcement over the weekend, Reuters reported Thursday. The referendum will be based on a document drafted by Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails that calls for a Palestinian state in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and eastern Jerusalem.
