The Mandelbaum Gate in Jerusalem, which served as the official point of entry and departure between Jordan-held Old Jerusalem and Israel in the 19 years between the Israeli War of Independence and the Six-Day War last June, was officially deleted today from the Israel Gazette.
The gate itself was demolished three months ago in the reunification of the two parts of Jerusalem but the Gazette had not kept up with events. The same issue of the official Government publication listed the Jerusalem Airport as the new legal point for entry and departure.
