Many Israeli rabbis urged Jews to take a vow of silence to protest Prime Minister Ariel Sharon’s plan to quit Gaza. At least 300 synagogues and religious academies across the country have agreed to take part in the 12-hour “speech fast” beginning Monday morning, protest organizer Yehuda Cohen said.
