Mayor John V. Lindsay, in ceremonies at City Hall today, proclaimed the week of April 20-26 as Israel Independence Week in New York City. The mayor read out his proclamation in the presence of Consul General R. Amir, Consul Nahum Eshkol, Rabbi Israel Miller, chairman of the American Zionist Council, and other Jewish leaders.
