Measures to aid Jews remaining in this city and in Munich, and to speed the repatriation of those still in camps were announced today.
The Berlin Jewish community announced in a radic broadcast that it has set up Leven offices throughout Berlin at which Jews are urged to register in the two-week period beginning tomorrow and ending August 8. It is assumed that the registration is preliminery to organizing relief for those requiring it, which means practically every Jew in this capital.
According to a broadcast on the Munich radic today, the city administration there is organizing the repatriation of all Munich Jews in camps, while the Bavarian State Ministry has promised to help finance the repartriation of Jews to other sections of Bavaria. Two transports have already arrived in Munich from Theresienstadt, the broadcast said.
It revealed that a special department of the municipal welfare office has been established to care for those brought home from camps, while a committee has been set up to safeguard the interests of all those injured by the Nuremberg Laws. The broadcast appealed to all those who suffered any damage to file claims.
