Italian Jewry commemorated today the 10th anniversary of the death in the Dachau concentration camp of Giovanni Palatucci, a non-Jew, who was arrested by the Nazis for protecting Jewish refugees in the city of Fiume, which was then Italian territory.

Italian Chief Rabbi Elio Toaff was the chief speaker at the ceremony. Among those present at the affair today were father of Palatucci, Israel Minister Eliahu Sasson, the Chief of Police of Italy and several Italian judges.
