Mexican Minister of Labor Pledges Continuance of Liberal Immigration Policies

Praising the contribution of refugees to the Mexican economy, Trujillo Gurria, Minister of Labor for Mexico, in the course of an audience with Dr. Henry Shoskes, Latin-American representative of the HIAS, pledged that the present liberal immigration policies of Mexico will be continued, the HIAS office here reported today. “The new immigrants from Europe created new industries and new trades in Mexico. “Mr. Gurria is reported to have said. “They have developed new labor opportunities which helped to develop the natural resources of this rich and virgin country.”
