Meyer J. Sawyer was today appointed by Attorney-General Mitchell assistant attorney general at Washington. Sawyer, who is a well-known attorney in Massachusetts is also active in Jewish circles. He is a trustee of Temple Ohabai Sholom, chairman of the Executive Committee of Brookline Zionists, director of the Home for the Aged, and member of the Bar Association. He has been a practicing attorney for twentyfive years.

The Board of Foreign Missions of the Methodist Episcopal Church of the United States has registered in Palestine as a foreign company.
