Dorothy Michelson, daughter of the famous American Jewish scientist, Professor Albert A. Michelson, of the University of Chicago, married Sheldon Dick, son of Albert Blake Dick, of Lake Forest, in New York on Wednesday.

The engagement had been announced last week, but no wedding date had been set.

Mrs. Michelson, who was going to New York on Friday to join her daughter for a European trip was informed of the sudden marriage by the representative of the Jewish Daily Bulletin here. Prof. Michelson is in Pasadena. Cal. conducting experiments.

The marriage of Michelson’s daughter to a non-Jew called forth lively comment in Jewish circles. It was pointed out that Professor Michelson does not take an interest in the affairs of the Jewish community here.
