The trial of Major Roy A. Farran, British Army officer charged with the murder of Alexander Rubovitz, 17-year-old Jewish youth, came to an abrupt end this morning when the court dismissed the case, Farran left the country immediately after the trial ended.
The British military tribunal ruled that inasmuch as no body or part of a body had been found there were no grounds in Anglo-Saxon law to try the defendant. Both the prosecution and the defense attorneys agreed with the interpretation.
