More than 200 American participants in the 33rd World Zionist Congress signed a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asking him to “reinvigorate the Oslo peace process.” The letter, which was organized by American Friends of Meretz, called for a “prompt and positive response” to U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright’s recent initiative calling for a significant further Israeli redeployment from the West Bank.
