More than 40 American educators, most of them not Jewish, are spending a study week at Yad Vashem.
The seminar, being held at Israel’s Holocaust memorial in conjunction with the Anti-Defamation League and the Shoah Foundation Institute of the University of Southern California, aims to enhance and supplement educators’ knowledge of the Holocaust and how to teach it.
“As misinformation about the Holocaust and anti-Semitism is spread through the Internet, it is vitally important that teachers have the tools to provide accurate information in the classroom and beyond,†said Avner Shalev, Yad Vashem’s chairman.
